Ebony & Steve | Two Shall Become One

Ebony and Steve share June birthdays (hers on the 22nd and his on the 28th). Annually, they travel somewhere to celebrate their birthdays. This year they traveled to New York City. It was Steve's first time in New York and he was pretty excited about the trip. Ebony was equally excited, but little did she know this trip was going to be one that forever changed her life!
We made it
Ebony and Steve arrived on Thursday, June 26th. They arrived at their hotel in Newark and immediately headed out for the city, New York City. Ebony, being the planner that she is, had an itinerary that was tight. She rushed Steve to the Newark station for his first experience of 'hustle and bustle' in New York.
Grand Central Station
After leaving Harlem and catching some of the historic sites, Ebony and Steve decided to venture to 42nd Street/Times Square to really feel the strength and vitality of New York City. They rode the train and had to stand sandwiched between other patrons, but it was well worth it. Once they got off the train, it hit Ebony; "We're in the world-famous Grand Central Station!"
Harlem World
Ebony had numerous referrals from friends and decided for a lunch reservation at the infamous Red Rooster in Harlem. They were greeted by the cutest Ethiopian hostess and opted for a seat outside. The view was phenomenal. Watching the local New Yorkers pass by all while eating their Red Rooster burger and Blackened Catfish; things could not be going any better! To top it off, award-winning chef, Marcus Samellson was there and taking pictures with fans and patrons.
A Life Forever Changed
After trying to convince Steve that he had to have heard of Grand Central Station; Ebony finally gives up. Instead, she took in the grandeur of the terminal and just marveled at how many many people were all around her. She had just read that over 1 million people enter Grand Central Station daily. She and Steve were 2 of those 1 million for June 26th. Steve politely asked a lady to take a picture of Ebony and him. Unbeknownst to Ebony, Steve was filming and whispered to the lady that he was about to propose and that the camera was filming. When he dropped to his knee, Ebony gasped because she was certain he was playing games since she had just told him that this is one of the top spots in the world to be proposed to. Steve quickly informed Ebony that he was not playing and instead, wanted her hand in marriage. After the reality set in, and the Lady filming all of this screamed for her to, "Say Yes"; Ebony did exactly that. She said, Yes! Their lives were forever changed in that moment.
